In The Dark by Andreas Pfluger
I enjoyed In The Dark immensely.
I was fascinated by how many situations a blind person can work her way through, and the prospect of a blind policewoman intrigued me when the book was first suggested as one I might like to read.
The writing style was good, as an English translation of a German novel, and there were only 2 or 3 places where the language didn’t sit quite right, but in no way did it detract from the story.
The plot was quite complex, different aspects of it being introduced throughout the story, tying threads together, and opening new avenues.
Jenny Aaron was a wonderful main character, with skills and problems that fed my need to see where she would go next. I would recommend In The Dark to anyone who likes a thriller, and I have added it to my Goodreads shelf “Need More Of The Same”.
I bought In The Dark on 21 April 2018, started reading 21 March 2019, and finished reading 4 April 2019. I can find books I want to read a lot faster than I have time to read them, so it took me a while to get round to this one.
