Speed of Sound by Eric Bernt

Speed of Sound by Eric Bernt

An interesting look into the world of autism and the amazing abilities of people with laser sharp focus. I was thrilled to see Eddie growing with the help of his new doctor and the compassion that made this possible.

My favourite character was Skylar, and the way she coped with the plot twists the author threw at her, although Eddie came a close second with his comments, such as “I don’t like purple food, it reminds me of bruises.” This is my favourite quote from the book.

The involvement of various clandestine groups made me wonder if this was nonfiction, considering all the conspiracy theories there are in the world today. Maybe this is just another cover up story.

This book has been added to my “Need More of The Same” shelf on Goodreads.

As an author myself I enjoy supporting other writers by reviewing their work, even if it took me a year to get around to reading it.
